How To Survive Success: The Difference Between The Sought Out & The Rejected Life Coach

July 26th, 2016 | 2 comments

If we’ve been hanging out for a while, you probably know that I have two passion industries: Broadway acting and life coaching! One of the fun things about both is how I get to rub shoulders with incredibly successful people who are sought-after in their fields.

I’ve gotten to spend one-on-one time with people we’d all consider THE ultimate success stories.

But I can’t tell you how many times I’ve discovered that these superstars in their industries were actually miserable!

Their lifestyles were chaotic, lacking spaciousness, true love, and connection. And if I’m being honest, connecting with these celebrities made me fear success! I found myself not wanting to live that life, and it became an excuse for me to play a smaller game.

But it turns out, there were plenty of thought leaders whose success led them to incredible opportunities, love, and freedom.

I started to notice two kinds of successful people: the ones who were too busy to really live, and those who had plenty of spaciousness and time freedom to create amazing lives.

So, what’s the difference?

How do you create success that doesn’t take over your life, but rather complements your experience?

If you’re going to be a successful coach and coach other people to live amazing lives, you’ll need to know the secret to surviving success.

And I’m gonna share it with you in today’s video! (Just press play below.)

(NOTE: In today’s video, I mention a printable PDF for you, but I decided I that I’d rather teach you voice-to-voice. So click here for a fantastic audio that I created to teach you how to coach your client to survive success with two Coaching Conversation Models you can use with your clients.

I give gifts in the form of downloadables specially for my Wake Up Wednesday tribe. And this one is free for everyone! If you want more gifts like this in the future, make sure to enter your name and email in the “Step Into The Spotlight” box below the blog…)

It’s so important for me to merge coaching and Broadway in my business—it’s one of the many things I love about my annual Captivate Performance. On August 25th, an electric group of thought leaders and change-makers will be joining me live onstage!

I combine my two passions whenever I can. And meeting the successful women who know how to create freedom in real life left me feeling inspired to curate an experience where my clients could meet those celebrity coaches – the ones who are walking their talk – in person.

And that’s exactly what I’ll be doing at The Captivate Performance.

We’ll be speaking and performing our deepest and purest truths in this Broadway-style performance.

Are you coming to the performance? I’d love to squeeze you in person! (Come grab your ticket while they’re still available!)

You’ll also get to rub shoulders with other future thought leaders in the audience! You’ll be surrounded by women who have the same dreams as you—people who really get it.

Captivate is a paradigm of expression you’ve never seen before. It’s designed to inspire us each to expand our ability to speak the deepest and purest truth. You’ll see a new and unexpected edge revealed from some of the spiritual leaders and powerhouses in our industry.

Get ready to be transformed through rituals, talent, truth…and the fun and connection that always comes with sisterhood!

You’ll see that you really can create the business you want! And you’ll witness inspiring women being authentic about their challenges and successes. (Seriously, wait until you see who the speakers are!)

Tickets are still available and they’re only $50. I would love to see you there!

  1. Thanks for this video, Jey! It’s a great reminder that I am the vessel through which creativity pours so I don’t have to worry that the content I create will be scarce. Although, I must admit that sometimes this IS my worry. Admission: In the past, I have “copied” other people’s work (not word for word!) and called it mine because I loved what they had to say and wasn’t sure I had the talent or ability to say what I really wanted to. I strive now to create success from my own experience and KNOW that it will serve others because it comes from a source greater than myself. Thanks again!

  2. When I used to work in a corporate environment I totally up talked my interests and skills to be able to move up the corporate ladder. Sure enough, I was miserable when I got there, and it showed.

Thankfully that was a catalyst to get me out of the office and really sink my teeth into doing work that I love!

Thanks for this Jey, it’s time to call ourselves out on our ego efforts and get back into heart efforts!
