“Movement in your body creates movement in your life.” Those wise words from my dear friend Erin Stutland, are my inspiration for this weekly walk. She’ll be here with us next week, chatting about her book Mantras in Motion and diving deeper into this concept. I can’t wait!
Movement in my body is what I’m called to in my self-care practice right now. It’s an important part of how I can expand my work and service in the world, give back, and grow as a wife and mother. I have to take care of myself, especially during this pregnancy, to achieve bigger goals and create a greater vision.
But as we know, there are only so many hours in each day. So I’ve been asking myself, How can I achieve more without doing more? How can I continue to grow without increasing energy output?
We value productivity because we cannot get yesterday back.
Today I want to expand on some of my own goals, and get you thinking about your goals, too. This will include a powerful NLP life coaching technique I usually only share with my Mentor Masterclass students. Each week, we can check in on our walks about how your dreams are coming alive.
The corporate structures in our society don’t support how we intuitively want to move through the world. (My good friend Kate Northrup talks about this in her brilliant new book, Do Less — she’ll also be on a future walk with us!) And both men and women are being called to embrace the rise of the feminine, a more nuanced, wise, flexible, and rewarding way of moving through the world that doesn’t fit inside some corporate box.
More and more women are pulling out of the corporate structures that weren’t made for us in the first place (they were made long ago by men, for men). We have cycles, some of us have babies, we have many roles to fulfill in this world and there’s a reason we’re looking for new ways to create sustainable success.
This box isn’t going to work for us, so we’re moving on…
