3 Must-Haves For Your First Coaching Website
This is such an exciting time in your coaching business: you’ve been preparing for so long, and now you know it’s time to launch your coaching website out into the world!
As I’ve been cooking all day and preparing to host Thanksgiving at our house tomorrow, I’ve been thinking about how launching a new website is kind of like hosting a Thanksgiving get-together.
I love hosting, and at the same time I find creating a warm and yummy Thanksgiving dinner pretty challenging. I never really know where to focus or what to do first:

Should I set the table?

Stuff the turkey?
-
Preheat the oven now?
-
Mash the potatoes?
-
Shit, there’s no room in the oven for all of this!

The stuffing is cold!
-
We need forks.
-
Does anyone know where grandpa is? It’s time to eat!
There’s a lot to do and the timing is actually pretty important. I remember feeling exactly like this when preparing my first website:

Do I need a website?
-
What do I write in the “About Me”?
-
Should I focus on coaching clients or designing my site?
-
What tabs do I need?
-
How do I get people to pay attention?
-
Should I put my prices up?
-
What scheduling software do people use these days?
-
What if my grandpa sees this and thinks I’m weird?
-
I don’t know if I’m confident about my coaching skills yet.
See?!? Hosting Thanksgiving and launching your first (or second or third) coaching website is pretty similar! The timing and focus are very important and it’s all meant to be fun.
A strategic and engaging website is a powerhouse promotional tool and it’s also a huge part of automating your business where you can (for example, it makes scheduling your client and discovery calls a breeze!).
But, first things first.
If you don’t feel quite ready to launch your website yet, no excuses sister. Don’t wait until you have a perfect brand and website to promote yourself as a coach!
