What a Blind Man Taught Me About Using Archetypes & Goddess Work in Coaching

This week I want to share with you a practice I’ve been devoted to in my personal life.

It’s called goddess work and archetypal healing.

You may have heard me talk about working with archetypes and utilizing the energy of the goddess, since it’s part of the coaching tools we learn in my all-in life coaching course, Mentor Masterclass.

You may also have noticed I call myself a “Business and Goddess Lifestyle Coach for Coaches.”

What the hell does that even mean?

Sure it’s fun to use the word “goddess,” pull goddess cards for inspiration and to be more of a diva when it comes to fulfilling our deepest desires. But over the years, I’ve discovered there is scientific and woo woo magic baked into the experience of working with goddess and archetypes when it comes to achieving your dreams.

Because of the powerful vibrations all around us, there are some very simple ways you can align yourself with the power of these goddesses.

It was actually a blind man who helped me understand why archetypal healing works.

I used to live next to a therapy center for the blind and deaf. One day I was talking to a blind man who often rode the same city bus as I did. After getting to know him a bit I finally asked him something I’d always wondered, “What do you think of when you think of color?”

His answer shocked me. He simply said, “I can actually hear color.”

Then he explained how he’d had a chip implanted in his brain that allowed him to hear the vibration of things. Since everything in our environment has a vibration and resonates at a different tone, there are ways of listening that we’re not equipped with but that we can adjust our brains to receive.

So this man could look at a blue ocean, for example, and hear the sound of the vibration the ocean is resonating on. And it’s the same with a green palm tree or a purple flower.

And so years later as I learned more about the art of working with a goddess to access deeper parts of your strength, wisdom and power, I began to understand how it all actually works. I witnessed this same phenomenon for myself: with each goddess, there are elements that resonate at the same energy that she does. And I can bring these elements into my life.

Are you finding this as fascinating as I do, sister?

Let me share an example of how this works in the lives of my Mentor Masterclass students.

In my all-in coaching program Mentor Masterclass, I work with women who are called to be life coaches, and are committed to contributing to this world doing work they love. We encircle each other in supportive sisterhood as they learn from some of the most successful coaches in our industry.

What makes our work different from so many other coach-education programs is that I guide my Mentor Masterclass sisters in how to achieve these things while staying rooted in the feminine way of moving in the world. This means embracing self-care, different emotions, rhythms, and cycles. Because we’re doing this in a new way, the feminine way, this calls for us to look for different role models.

For the women who decide to continue this work with me in The Sisterhood Mastermind, we take it a step deeper. That’s where goddess work and archetypal healing come in. We focus on a different goddess each month. Last month, it was the goddess known as the Lady of Communion and her intention is, “I intend, I empower.” The words and positive vibration of, “I intend, I empower,” show up around us in the world as the color emerald green, and also in scents like mint, juniper, and pineapple. We set up our environments when we dress ourselves in emerald green and use these scents. Soon, we’d get into the energy and vibration of her intention, “I empower.”

See what I mean?

When you take on a goddess, you’re essentially saying, “I choose to see the world through this lense. I choose to see my business and my life with intention and empowerment, as the Lady of Communion would.”

What I love about this work is it’s a playful way to explore deep wounds and beliefs within our lives. I put on an emerald green dress and drank some pineapple juice, and sat with the question “How are intention and empowerment connected?”

I often get some ideas for what I’ll do differently today by embodying the archetypal resonance of the goddess I’m working with. I’ll think very intentionally about the most empowered steps I can take first. Soon I’m feeling in communion with life, in intention, and full of power.

It absolutely leads to breakthroughs and transformations for all of us in Mentor Masterclass as coaches and in The Sisterhood Mastermind as thought leaders!

This month, we’re working with the Dreamer Weaver goddess. Her intention is: I dream, I connect. These intentions are found in our world in the colors magenta, pink, and black. When you visualize these intentions and colors and compare them with the Lady of Communion, can you feel a difference in yourself and in your space? They’re very different goddesses, and they’re calling our attention to very different elements of ourselves. We can bring these elements into all our daily roles in life, relationships, and business.

The dreamer weaver archetype has been supporting me in creating new ways of managing my time this month.

Now here’s the question I get most around this topic: Where do I start?

Well, there’s no reference book or course for you to buy and do on your own. And believe me, I still remember how frustrated I felt by this at first! But it’s all for a beautiful reason that makes perfect sense.

The Divine Feminine tells us that we are all one. What exists in your consciousness and your fear system exists in mine! Whatever work I do on myself by healing deep wounds, blocks, and fears—I’m doing that for myself and the consciousness of all.

What one heals, we heal for the other, and we have to take people with us along this journey.

For this reason, a women drawn to this way of viewing the world can only do this work when she meets a goddess who’s already been through this deep work herself, and is passing it on. You’ll feel her energy and think, “I want to be in sisterhood with this woman and learn from her so I can pass it on, too.”

In a world of instant gratification, this is refreshing, isn’t it? Goddess work and archetypal healing should only be nurtured as a sacred thing that’s passed on from sister to sister, that connects back to the original source in a deep way.

I learned this work from Elayne Kalila Doughty and it was passed down to here from Ariel Salisbury.

Would you like to learn more? I’d love for you to come listen to the full-length interview I did with Abundance Coach Luci McMonagle. We talked about this goddess work and archetypal healing, plus I share:

  • My tips for upleveling the people you surround yourself with every day (and what it will do for your business and your life).
  • How my past living with a “starving artist” outlook on life led me to seek out an abundance mentality that completely changed my life.
  • Why pushing hard, powering through fears, and hustling actually won’t get you where you want to go.
  • What to do if you just can’t find sisters nearby to connect with but you still want to make positive shifts in your life and business, and more.

You’ll also have the chance to sign up for Luci’s Abundance Breakthrough Summit. You’ll be guided by experts (including me) who’ll show you how to create abundance in your life and own your power to change the world.

I hope to see you at the summit, love!

xoxo
